A Cyber-Spiritual Odyssey in Sound and Vision

Dylan Tauber is a visionary force in electronic music, a theorist, and a cyber-spiritual storyteller who bridges sound, consciousness, and digital culture. Since 1996, his work—rooted in the Double Mirrors and Ones and Zeros theories—has spanned 26 albums, multimedia art, and a global online presence dating back to the early days of the internet. For three decades, he’s explored how technology, spirituality, and human perception intersect, building an interconnected universe of sound and ideas.

Early Career & Digital Pioneering

A Columbia University Visual Arts graduate (1996), Tauber launched his career with the ambitious Double Mirrors anthology—a book, photo slideshows, and a soundtrack backed by DoubleMirrors.com, one of the earliest artist websites still online today. Dylan was also a digital pioneer, offering his music for free MP3 download in 1998, decades before online music streaming became mainstream.

The Dolphin Connection

The early 2000s brought a turning point. Between 2000 and 2001, he circled the globe, searching for the ideal place to create music and connect with nature—especially dolphins. He found it in a remote turquoise lagoon in the southwestern Pacific. The lagoon became his sanctuary, a place where technology fell away and pure sensation took over. That profound connection permeates his sonic landscapes, inspiring albums like The Lagoon and the Dolphin Waves series—symbols of harmony between natural beauty and inner peace.

Theories & Consciousness

Tauber is also a serious thinker. His Double Mirrors Theory (1994) and Ones and Zeros Theory (2000) explore perception, consciousness, binary existence, and reality. Dylan has shared these concepts through six books and video explainers that have each drawn over 1.5 million views on Facebook, and he developed a new “Expansion of Consciousness” theory in 2025.

Music & Global Reach

Through his independent label, Son of Waves Studios, Dylan has released 26 transcendental electronica albums, most available as free downloads. His sound fuses ambient textures, vocal trance, chill-out, and world music, often with global collaborators. Indiemusicflix.com called his work “the best of the best,” praising its finesse and polish. Standout releases include Near Death Experience, the Dolphin Trance series, Sounds from Space, and the deeply personal He Loves Carmen, which Jamsphere.com praised for its high production level, cinematic ambition, and Dylan’s ability to paint vibrant pictures through sound. More recent albums like Sea People, Harmony of Earth, and I Am Alive In This Moment continue his message of love for Earth and spiritual awakening. Reviewing “Harmony of Earth,” SleepingBagStudios.ca praised the song’s overwhelming emotional sincerity and called it “absolutely awe-inspiring.”

His reach is global—radio play in over 40 countries, TV broadcasts in Israel, and a music video for “Love And You Will Live” that won a contest in London. In 2023, his song “I Am A Mirror” was performed for 1,500 people at his kibbutz.

Beyond audio, Tauber has built the Son of Waves Studios Network—30 websites showcasing his music videos, cyberart, photography, and writing. Together, these sites form an extensive online archive of his music, art, photography, and writing, with more than 8 million page views since 1996.

Cyberart & Recognition

Dylan’s visual work has also received international recognition. In 2019, his photographs appeared in eleven galleries across Berlin, Venice, Melbourne, Barcelona, and Vienna. As a cyberartist, he blends photography with digital manipulation to explore nature and technology. That versatility earned him the Nikola Tesla World Award for cyberart in late 2024.

Continuing the Journey

From a small Columbia studio to a global odyssey that reshaped his artistic soul, Dylan Tauber remains a fiercely independent creator. Based now in northern Israel, he keeps composing, theorizing, and inviting listeners into an ever-expanding universe. His journey is one of relentless curiosity—a fusion of intellect and emotion, proving that one person’s vision can still ripple across the digital age. The wave keeps swelling.
